Drains covered by leaves and soil

Reported via desktop in the Blocked/Damaged category anonymously at 10:02, Tue 26 March 2024 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5767049.

Along the outer side of hardingstone church wall loose soil washes over both drains. The surface water, unable to adequately go down drains then enters the semi-circular entrance of the church. Service attendees and wedding & funeral guests have to walk on the mud. Churchyard volunteers recently removed the layer of leaves and mud from the drain covers. but the problem will continue because of a long section of leaf debris/soil will continue to be washed along. No winter clearance has ever been done. The soft soil at the road edge needs removing. The churchyard volunteers are considering putting new gravel on the semicircle entrance but this will not be effective if mud continues to be washed along
