Badger sett under footpath at gate

Reported via iOS in the Passage-Obstructed/Overgrown category anonymously at 09:49, Sun 24 March 2024

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5758332.

Hi there. Whilst the current gate doesn’t seem to be on the legal line, this is the waymarked route through the hedge. Badgers have excavated under gateway making it unsafe. Good luck fixing this!

  • This gateway is on the footpath from west Haddon crossing over Springfield farm going to Winwick yes the badger hole is still there but the gatepost is broken and sheep are getting onto Springfield farm and also horse could get out. String has been put as a loop to keep gate shut after going through, but people don’t seem able to put it back on again 🤪. The problem with the gate was reported to the authorities back in March of this year. And no action was taken
