Builders vans parking on corner

Reported in the Car parking category by rodney clarkson at 18:20, Fri 23 January 2015

Sent to Vale of White Horse District Council 5 minutes later

Vans are daily parking on the bend narrowing a already narrow road oppersite a school also very busy road so when you go to over take you have to brake fast to avoid the traffic you cannot see till you overtake . surely if they are builders vans then there should be room on the site to park.

Updates

  • Dear Rodney, I have visited Newbury Street a few times since receiving your report, the last time being 09.10 this morning. Today, similar to the other times, no builders vans have been present. Perhaps the problem has gone away? I note that the location you indicate is subject to double yellow line waiting restrictions. Thames Valley Police are the enforcing authority and should be contacted on 101 if the parked vehicles return. I too will continue to monitor the situation. Yours sincerely OCC Traffic Advice & Design
