Estate Agent’s Board Contravening Regulations

Reported via desktop in the Flyposting category anonymously at 22:10, Tue 19 March 2024

Sent to Richmond upon Thames Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5739964.

Surely this board cannot have deemed consent. (1) It does not have permission to be placed here (2) It is entirely unclear what it relates to (3) There is no clue as to what the word “success” relates to. Does it relate, maybe, to success in spoiling the ‘look’ of the local area, or maybe success in annoying local residents, or maybe success in clearing some local drains of an obstruction? If the sign were fixed to, or within the boundary of, a property one might guess it relates to a transaction? Maybe a property has been let or sold? But even if this was the case, meaning has been obfuscated - let or sold - who knows? There is no clear word on the sign to indicate that it relates to the sale or letting of a property so surely, again, it cannot have deemed consent. Reference: The Town and Country Planning (Control of Advertisements) (England) Regulations 2007? Specifically: As described in Schedule 2 - The Standard Conditions And/or as described in: Schedule 3 (Classes of advertisement for which deemed consent is granted), Part 1 (Specified classes and conditions) Class 3 (Miscellaneous temporary advertisements)
