Appalling road surface
Reported via desktop in the Road Defect category anonymously at 09:28, Sunday 17 March 2024 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5724699.
This has been reported multiple times yet it is now weeks since action was promised. The road surface is severely damaged heading towards Biggin Hill and on the opposite side of the road, the road surface has fallen away leaving a very deep and dangerous trench, so vehicles on both sides are attempting to avoid, losing wing mirrors and causing near collisions. There was recently some adjacent repair work completed ... how on earth was there not an instruction to repair this whole area? Please can this be given a higher priority

I drove along here at 2pm today (Friday 22nd) and it is still not fixed. Perhaps the marker on the map is not quite accurate but the area where the road surface is so appalling is just by one of the sections of road the bank is shored up with a "log" wall. It runs for several metres, so really can't be missed. Very close to here, on the opposite side of the road, the edge of the tarmac has broken away leaving a deep channel at the edge .... so vehicles coming in both directions are having to take action to avoid damaging their cars!

Correction. The area I am reporting is just AFTER the part where the bank is held by a “log wall”, heading towards Biggin Hill. My apologies for error, but It shouldn’t prove difficult to identify.

I fail to see how "appropriate action has been taken to resolve the issue" when the awful potholes and trench have not been repaired in any way!! Please, please, prioritise this section of road without further delay ... it has been ongoing for more than six months!!
