Potholes in cycle lane on the A23 / NCN20 in front of Surrenden Field
Reported via desktop in the Pavement and road repairs category by Rebecca Reynolds at 16:11, Sat 16 March 2024
Sent to Brighton and Hove City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5723194.
The worst pothole is about 30 cms across and about 2 cms deep. It could cause someone cycling to be destabilised or cause a puncture. It is in the middle of the cycle lane on the A23/NCN20. There are other potholes (see photos). It's not always possible to see the holes. We have very limited cycle space due to the proximity of traffic and it's close to a bus stop.

This remains a hazard. The road urgently needs resurfacing now at many points between Preston Drove and Patcham.

NCN20 lanes both north and south need urgent filling and resurfacing. They are in a very poor condition.
