Pothole right in the cycle lane in front of Surrenden Field
Reported via desktop in the Pavement and road repairs category by Becky Reynolds at 16:02, Sat 16 March 2024
Sent to Brighton and Hove City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5723144.
This pothole is about 30 cms across and about 2 cms deep. It could cause someone cycling to be destabilised or cause a puncture. It is in the middle of the cycle lane. There are other potholes both before and after. It's not always possible to see these holes. You have very limited cycle space due to the proximity of traffic. This is close to a bus stop.

This remains a hazard. The road urgently needs resurfacing now at many points between Preston Drove and Patcham.

Still not fixed and much of the A23 cycle lane north of Preston Drove is like a rough off-road track.
