  • This pothole was reported by me on 15th January with an eta of 26 weeks to repair which in itself is outrageous. In the interim, it has worsened severely and is now much larger, gone down deep to the sub base of the road and is scattering debris over the rest of the carriageway. Seeing this further report, I just had to comment as the council seems determined to leave these things for so long that they become genuinely dangerous . This is a busy 60mph road already in poor condition, with no footpath so you often get pedestrians and joggers to avoid, it’s riddled with potholes, cracks and no less than 3 areas of subsidence as well as a railway bridge that’s often full of water and has potholes at the base. The whole thing requires proper assessment and repairs as soon as possible, not “within 6 months.
