Road flooded by pedestrian crossing
Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 17:26, Wed 14 January 2015
Sent to Southampton City Council 4 minutes later
Every time it rains the road beside the pedestrian crossing point across Ocean Way floods. Waiting to cross invariably results in a soaking as inconsiderate drivers speed through the puddle.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. This request is now being actioned.

Still open, via questionnaire, 18:25, Wed 11 February 2015
The situation remains as bad as ever, with pedestrians waiting to cross being soaked by vehicles driving even slowly through the flood.

Thank you for the update. I shall update the case, and ask for an inspector to re-visit the site as soon as possible.

This is still a problem. It's a massive puddle which drivers love to race through, soaking people waiting to cross the road.

Absolutely nil progress on this item. Every time we get a significant rainfall this section of the road floods, and pedestrians on the island and on the kerb get soaked by passing vehicles.
