Big hole on the bridleway bridge

Reported via mobile in the Bridge-Damaged/ Missing category anonymously at 20:49, Sun 10 March 2024 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5693321.

This bridge is the only access on the bridleway and it collapsed under my daughters pony the other day. Very dangerous for people, horses, dogs and wildlife. This needs rectification asap before someone or something gets seriously injured. The walk up has also been washed away by the river bursting its banks.

  • This has still not been rectified. It hasn’t even been closed off. This is really dangerous and restricting a public bridleway. It says it will be fixed within 28 days. We are now on 34 days. Update please!!

  • I took my dogs for a walk yesterday and fell down this hole as I did not see it from the other side. Please fix it- even if a sturdy temp fix.

  • Still waiting for the gaps to be filled that the river washed away many weeks ago. Please try and do this as soon as possible. With the dark nights and unsettled weather causing restricted visibility we have no option other than road work. This isn’t possible in the fog and frosty mornings. Have a young child riding with me sometimes road work isn’t an option either. Please make this safe for us to be able to ride safely in winter.
