Deep constant flood across both lanes of the road.

Reported via mobile anonymously at 19:35, Wednesday 6 March 2024

Sent to Chichester District Council and West Sussex County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5678485.

It has been there almost constantly since the Autumn.Traffic has to take turns to go through in single file. During the recent cold spell water dropping off the vehicles created patches of black ice further up the road by the turning into Spy Lane making it treacherous. The water and the ice when it freezes is a major accident waiting to happen.

Updates

  • Unfortunately this problem is still there. I think the council did send someone out as further down the road channels had been dug in the verge to aid drainage in other areas that weren't as bad but nothing evident for this area which is still flooding the road.

  • This unfortunately has not yet been fixed. After the rain Saturday night it was flooded again on the Monday morning when I used this road.
