We have a problem with water running off a field next to the lane. The field is5/6 ft higher than the lane. It is causing a stream of water which is eroding the lane as it runs down it to the River by our house. We believe that land drains were put in by the landowner at Swallow Barn last Summer and this could be causing the problem. There is one definite place where the water is running off- perhaps a pipe has burst? It has become particularly bad during the heavy rains. It also makes the lane icy and dangerous.
