Sink Hole Next to Traffic Island
Reported via desktop in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 13:21, Thu 22 February 2024 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5615295.
This has been previously reported, and you claim that you impected it and found that it is not an issue - we refute this on the following basis.
Despite there being significant works on the other carraigeway, this sink hole in the direction of Milton Keynes (which you have previously marked with spray paint) has not been resolved.
Whilst you may not think the depth of the hole meets your criteron for repair, the angle of the hole causes a significant impact on wheels and causes the impact sensor (which is set to the least sesnitive setting) to be triggered when driving over this hole at 30mph.
Latterly, this hole is now filled with water. Given the amount of works that have been carried out directly next to this defect, it's somewhat unbelievable that you have allowed this fault to remain in place for many months.

The only road drain in The Lane, Grafton Regis is immediately outside my garage called The Coachhouse. At least once each year it blocks causing mud to flow into my garage. It requires to be suctioned. Equally, recent multiple temporary traffic lights and diversions have caused heavy vehicles to use the splay in front of my garage as a passing place and the entrance to my drive has sunk, and the edging is damaged. This needs making good.
