Growing pot hole on edge of water drain cover in road at traffic lights

Sent to Bristol City Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5609222.

Surface water drain cover has sunk and pot hole on road side of drain growing in depth (2") and plan size (4" × 12") and difficult to avoid if two lines of traffic passing through lights. Could damage tyres if caught on edge.

There are quite a number of similar road defects along Falcondale Road on same side between Henbury Road traffic lights and Canford Lane lights at similar drain covers and away from curb.

  • This is on a pedestrian crossing so presents a serious trip hazard as well as being a defect that could damage vehicles. It appears to be deteriorating fast with large lumps of tarmac in the nearby gutters.
