Ground has worn away around drain representing trip hazard and health risk.

Reported via mobile in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 11:08, Wed 21 February 2024

Not reported to council

Ground around drain has sunk/ worn away, so cover is effectively raised/jutting and a trip hazard. There is also a gap between the drain and the ground on one side which is also a health hazard for tripping/emissions. The ground around the drain has been worn away by cars and most particularly delivery vans parking on it so is a muddy mess too . It would be good to concrete/ hard surface the area around the drain and the patch with a bollard or possibly two to deter inconsiderate parkers on a busy schools road. The issue is outside 39 and 41 Bitteswell Road. The conw put there by the local council keeps getting moved around by passers by. This has been an issue for over two months. A lot of schoolchildren, families with small children and elderly people use the pavement.

Updates

  • Deterioration due to continued rain. Cone placed by council has been damaged by vandals and often needs repositioning after being moved by passers by.
