Multiple pot holes

Reported via desktop in the A pothole in road category anonymously at 10:33, Wednesday 21 February 2024

Sent to Gloucestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5608650.

Repeatedly reported the potholes along Poolway Place Road. My neighbour met the 'assessing team' member who said they weren't deep enough. they cannot be any deeper as we are now on the road concrete surface. They are all over the place, the tarmac has gone. All the grit used for the many other 'repairs' - and I use this word loosely, has been dispursed by the rain and is now all over the pavement and in the gutters. This makes the pavements close to ice rinks as they are so covered and slippy in places. All my neighbours are sick of the uneven, unsafe road surface. Please, for once, put it right properly and then you won't have to keep being asked to come back.

Updates

  • Thank you for reporting a pothole.

First, a safety inspector will visit the location to assess whether a repair needs to be completed and plan the work needed. Works are prioritised based on the urgency of the situation. The council aim to repair all significant potholes (more than 4cm deep and 30cm wide) within 28 days.

In some cases a temporary repair will be needed, to make the area safe, then engineers will return to make a permanent repair.

We will provide updates about this report.
