Poor management of traffic lights causing major traffic

I am writing to bring to your attention the dire situation regarding the mismanagement of traffic lights at the junction of the A34, specifically concerning access to the One Stop Shopping Centre. The current traffic light configuration is causing significant congestion and inconvenience for commuters, particularly those heading towards the city center and attempting to turn right into the One Stop car park.
The primary issue arises when the light is green for traffic traveling on the A34 away from the city center, making it virtually impossible for vehicles to safely execute a right turn into the One Stop car park. This bottleneck not only leads to frustration among drivers but also poses safety risks due to the gridlock that ensues.
To alleviate this problem, I propose a simple solution: implementing a system wherein the traffic lights on the opposite side of the A34 turn red, temporarily halting the flow of traffic and allowing vehicles to make the right turn into the shopping center without obstruction. This small adjustment would significantly improve the flow of traffic and reduce the congestion that plagues this junction.
Furthermore, exiting the One Stop car park presents its own set of challenges, as vehicles attempting to turn right are met with oncoming traffic with right of way. It is imperative to establish a fair and efficient system that allows each side to take turns proceeding in their desired direction, thereby reducing the risk of accidents and streamlining traffic flow.
I urge the council to prioritize this matter and take swift action to address the traffic management issues at the A34 junction. Failure to do so not only exacerbates congestion and delays but also jeopardizes the safety of motorists and pedestrians in the area.
I appreciate your attention to this urgent matter and look forward to a prompt and satisfactory resolution.
