Flooding and a drip off the road into a soft verge

There is an issue with drains, and the camber that has caused a flood that is not going after the rain has stopped and is pushing drivers onto a soft verge that has now got a large drop forming.

    We will investigate the issue. If additional clearance work is needed, the local highways team will prioritise the most urgent reports. Where possible, maintenance tasks will be grouped together in a schedule for efficiency.

    Sometimes during periods of heavy rain, even a clear gully can be overwhelmed. Usually the water will drain away within an hour.

    Every gully or drain the county council is responsible for is cleared at least once each year. Some drains in problem areas are cleared more frequently.
