Really large pothole, roughly 2 feet by 1 foot

Reported via desktop in the Pothole category by David Reid at 22:35, Monday 19 February 2024

Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5602192.

This pothole is on the b3006 heading out of Seborne towards Alton. It's just past the width restriction feature, and is so big that, if you see it in time, you have to swerve out into the opposing lane to miss it. I blew a tyre in it today, the tyre fitter said he had been called to the same spot yesterday, and as we were fixing the tyre in Hall Lane, another person pulled round the corner having just done the same. She'd just called the RAC. God help any morcyclist whi hits the pothole - they could easily be killed

  • This pothole was fixed so quickly that I can only assume others had reported it before me. I burst my tyre one evening, went back the next morning to photograph the pothole, and it had been fixed! Pothole repairs were also being carried out elsewhere on the same road further towards Alton.
