  • I reported this very soon after it was installed as being not fit for purpose, nothing changed apart from some white lines painted (and a poor attempt to patch the verge) It is perfectly clear to anyone with a modicom of intelligence that this is possibly the worst bit of chicane design ever done. It is appauling. The barriers are too long and not far enough apart to allow longer vehicles to pass safely. This is forcing vehicles too close to the edge of the road, This is destroying the verge and the poor tarmac repair done already breaking up after only a few days leaving it in a dangerous condition.

  • I examined the latest patch again today. It is sagging a bit but should last a while longer. There is an area of tarmac which is crumbling and becoming a hole on the the section of road closest to Yelvertoft that hasn't been patched. Can this be investigated and repaired please before it deteriorates further. Thanks

  • A resident has reported an incident when the wheel of his bicycle dropped into the gap shown in the photos. Fortunately, no harm was done on this occasion but this incident highlights a serious risk. A lasting repair needs to be made quickly to avoid a serious incident. Thanks.

  • I Inspected the repair again this morning. The repair is breaking up and lumps of tramac are being dislodged creating potholes . The gap beteen the old road surface and the repair has widened. I believe a further repair is needed to keep the carruageway safe for both vehicles and cyclists. Thank you.
