Verge eroded by excess traffic due to diversion sign - by about 5 ft!

Reported via mobile anonymously at 14:31, Sunday 18 February 2024 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and South Oxfordshire District Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5594357.

Hello, Due to the diversion route from Gallowstree Common, around 5 ft of our grass verge has been eroded away from the traffic which has been travelling too quickly past our property. There are a huge number of potholes. Please can someone come and fix it?

  • Thank you for your report. This is a common and ongoing issue within the County, and we are working with our traffic team to come up with long-term solutions for verge damage issues due to parking/vehicles. In the future if you are concerned about mud on the active highway please report this to South Oxford DC and request Street Cleansing. Kind regards
