Traffic light phasing

Reported via mobile in the Traffic lights category anonymously at 21:34, Fri 16 February 2024

Sent to Liverpool City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5588843.

The phasing of the lights needs to be looked at. They often stay in red for the exit from Barlow’s Lane. It seems every couple of cycles of lights the red light remains on red for 2-3 minutes.

In addition there needs to be some common sense with the phasing of lights along Longmoor Lane from the junction with Seeds Lane and Lower Lane.

Lights are changing to red without a clear flow through creating unnecessary traffic queues adding to congestion and increased co2 pollutions. Specifically when there is no traffic from Seeds Lane Higher Lane Barlow’s Lane.

Traffic is often being stopped at 3-4 sets of lights with no other traffic around.
