Bollards placed on the grass verge

Reported via desktop anonymously at 14:45, Friday 16 February 2024 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and South Oxfordshire District Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5587177.

The neighbour has taken it upon herself to erect heavy hardened plastic bollards on the said land owned by OCC to protect the flower bed she has also instated. This in turn has made it near impossible to reverse safely out of my drive, without entering the carriageway. Anyone now visiting can no longer park outside unless they use the narrow strip of tarmac, leaving their car in an unsafe position or park in the lay-by opposite and having to cross the very fast road.

  • Please see temporary spiked wooden reflector posts to protect daffodil bulbs and managed strip of wild flowers as they establish in the verge to do our bit for no mow May. The posts and bulbs are set back leaving ample room to manoeuvre if it is not possible on the driveway, verge to the right of cottages when facing them, or the hard standing. Thank you.
