Illegal parking in double yellow lane (southmead road corner green park road)

Reported via mobile anonymously at 21:39, Thu 15 February 2024

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5583913.

Cars are parking in Southmead road corner green park road which is a double yellow line. This is a hazard as people driving cars from green park road have a hard time seeing cars approaching from the right side of southmead road.

Could the council penalise these cars even at night?

  • Hi Bristol City Council,

This car is regularly parked on these double yellow lines on Southmead Road on the corner of Green park Road (outside 513 Southmead Road)

It is obstructing the view when coming out of the cul de sack badly. Drivers have to force their way out into oncoming traffic risking many near misses.

Someone else complained recently and the council put 4 traffic cones along this section which was great but they have since been removed and this car was straight back to parking there again.

Is it possible to drop the curb down to prevent this from happening? Is a fine in order or do the traffic cones need to be placed there permanently?

Thanks for your help with this!
