Overflowing green bins Knowle Terrace

Reported in the Rubbish (refuse and recycling) category by Robert Rix at 12:43, Tue 16 December 2014

Sent to Leeds City Council 2 minutes later

For several weeks rubbish in green bins not collected (as not recyclable) and bins left permanently on street, making footpath unusable - rubbish health and safety hazard - what is Council policy on bins filled with wrong rubbish? just leave to rot?

Updates

  • Still open, via questionnaire, 20:36, Tue 20 January 2015

  • Bins still unemptied (because of inappropriate rubbish), but still an eyesore and health hazard, all along Knowle Terrace really

  • Leeds Environmental Health Officer has tried to deal with the issue, having contaminated bins removed (some, not all) and some rubbish collected. Bins still left out on Knowle Terrace pavement for months on end, rubbish from houses also left on pavement and at least one contaminated green bin still left there. So it has been partly dealt with.
