Problem trees

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5575727.

These trees got report a couple of years ago, and 2 people have been to look at them. When the second person came round in October she was told 1 was to be pruned and another to have the crown lifted and the timescale given was 4-6 weeks. Nothing has happen as of yet, please can we take a look at this to see if this is planned

  • Resident has called back as the tree's outside 2 Duddington Close is still needing attention the surveyors have been round but no crew so far to cut the trees, Resident has reported that they are now starting to obstruct the boiler flue, would this be able to be looking in to as a matter of urgency.

  • The trees lower branches were removed. Will re-inspect to see if a crown reduction is needed if over the roof. Thank you

  • Resident has called in as they are saying when the surveyor came round they said that both trees need attention, the Cherry tree cut right back and the other tree needed to be lifted, The resident would like to speak to an officer and would they be able to investigate this further, they all so said they haven't spoken to anyone and had no contact.

  • Thank you for your comments. Site visit undertaken and works inspected. The works undertaken to this tree are consistent with the instructions to our contractor and relate to an identified health & safety or highway obstruction issue, please note that works beyond that to reduce the tree size to allow more light, prune clear of telephone lines etc will not be taken as outlined in our Tree Management Strategy (tree-management-strategy-2023-to-2027 (bromley.gov.uk)

  • Resident has called about this issue. She states that as the tree is now starting to bloom again and as this is a blossom tree, the small pink petals are now going into the guttering and effecting the flue again, and she would like a site visit whilst the tree is at this stage

  • This tree is now in half blossom therefore becoming more of an issue, this is its exact location is directly outside the front garden (on public footpath) of number 2 Duddington close. Resident explains this is a beautiful tree, however needs pruning back due to the blossom causing issues due to its large size at the moment

  • This will be looked into again. At the time of inspection the tree wasn't in contact with the property Bromley dose not prune trees because of petal or leaf fall blocking gutters. Thank you.
