Car parking

Reported in the Car parking category anonymously at 17:21, Fri 12 December 2014

Sent to Vale of White Horse District Council 4 minutes later

Extremely dangerous parking along this area / corner. very concerned that there could be an accident as cars are on the wrong side of the road and having to turn.

Most people in the area have driveways but dont use them

Updates

  • Dear Peter Thank you for your report. South Avenue is in a residential area and it is the local residents that are causing the problem. Yellow lines are not generally provided in these situations. Fortunately traffic speeds are low, the nature of the traffic is ‘local’, and motorists should be aware of the limitations of the layout. Notwithstanding the above, vehicles parked on South Avenue and causing an ‘actual’ obstruction should be reported to the Police (telephone 101) as this is an offence that they can & should enforce. • Lee, If i understand this right, you would rather i reported cars to the police for inappropriate parking and waste police officers time rather than send out polite notes requesting people not to park on blind, tight corners?
