Pedestrian Underpass Flooded

Reported via desktop in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 21:30, Sun 11 February 2024

Sent to Halton Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5563398.

The pedestrian underpass beneath the Daresbury Expressway regularly floods and becomes impassable due to fouling of the Keckwick Brook culvert. HBC are aware of this problem because they have positioned Flood warning signs and next to useless barriers. This problem really needs to be rectified before someone either drowns or is killed/injured attempting to cross the busy expressway. If a solution to the problem cannot be found then the underpass needs to be close completely and fenced off securely. A pedestrian crossing will then have to be provided on the Expressway.
