Water unable to leave the road to the ditches

Reported via desktop in the Flooding on Road category anonymously at 19:31, Thursday 8 February 2024 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5550827.

I have reported this annually. There are no openings from the road which will let the water flowing down the hill from Woodperry to leave the road to the existing ditches and fields on either side. It is becoming increasingly dangerous to drive along Straight mile road, the road edges are covered with water and it's a thin road which means when wider vehicles are passing each other could lead to accidents. There s an obvious danger of black ice.
