Unsafe muddy footpath

Reported via mobile in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 14:59, Thu 8 February 2024

Sent to Rhondda Cynon Taf Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5549391.

This public footpath has become broken and very muddy. This is the access pedestrians use to get from sardis carpark to dewi sant health clinic. Many residents also use this footpath to get to the school and into town centre etc. The area has become slippery and dangerous. I have slipped in it myself and I witnessed an elderly lady holding on to the wall to try and get through avoiding the mud whilst holding her shopping and she nearly fell. Parents with children in buggies etc are also struggling to get through the area to get to the footpath. I believe that the area is privately owned but the owner has a legal obligation to leave this area clear for public use and pedestrians to access the footpath leading to sardis carpark and Grover street. Would it be for the council to clean up this area or relay the ground for public safety to avoid any potential accidents? Even a small pathway or pavement made along the wall from the concrete bollard and into grovers street would be sufficient if this is possible. Could this be assessed please?
