Stone milestone knocked over during collision Feb 6th

Reported via desktop anonymously at 13:07, Thu 8 February 2024 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and Vale of White Horse District Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5548628.

Ancient milestone needs reinstating in original position and ruts in verge need filling, and collision rubbish cleared away. This is an important local historical feature. Thanks for your help with this! (See photo)

  • Hello, No, nothing has happened since the vehicle accident that toppled the milestone on Feb 6th. Here is a further image from the one above, taken at slightly further distance. As you'll see, there is still vehicle wreckage on the site, and deep ruts on the verge that need filling. This curb is used as a foot-path so the area needs to be put back as it was, and the 18th century milestone re-instating. Thanks!
