Faded/non-existent road markings on dual carriageway section
Reported via desktop in the Road Markings - Worn/Faded category anonymously at 16:25, Monday 5 February 2024
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5535345.
The road markings are faded to the point of not being present. This is the central section of road from Grafton Street up to and over Spencer Bridge on Spencer Bridge Road. It is dual carriageway, but there are no markings visible to separate the two lanes and it is very dangerous when wet and when dark.

This can be quite dangerous in the dark or wet conditions as vehicles in the right hand lane can't see a line to their left and drift over into the left lane unexpectedly.

Can't believe this has been 7 months since I initially reported this. It was dark at 5pm rush hour and very difficult and dangerous with cars that had no lines to follow. Having had all this time to rectify the issue, we are now fast approaching dark evenings again.
