Traffic light sequencing still off and causing massive queues

Reported via Android in the Traffic Lights (permanent only) category anonymously at 21:28, Sat 3 February 2024

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5527893.

The traffic lights around the Abingdon one way system need to be intelligently resynchronised to deal with the 20 mph speed limits and the asymmetry of traffic flow at the high street/west St Helens street junction. I have to use this every day to get out of my house but the fact that there is no priority given to WSH traffic means there are queues back past St Helen's church throughout the day. At present traffic has to wait for the pedestrian light to be activated to allow any traffic out. Further, traffic from the high street sits in the junction so even when WSH gets a chance to go it is blocked in. I would recommend a hatched no-go area. Please also add no stopping/loading markings to the high street especially between WSH and Stratton Way as there is always a HGV loading/unloading that causes traffic to get stuck and in some cases even unable to leave WSH. This has been an issue for years, reported multiple times but never gets better.
