There are ash trees growing next to the bridge superstructure on both sides. These are nearly touching the concrete beams. In a short while, they will touch, and with wind sway, the trees will crack the concrete. Water will seep in and corrosion of reinforcement will take place. It is inevitable. The trees need removing now, before damage is done. It is common sense. Also the proximity of the trees to the bridge prevents close safe surveying.
