Reported as Fixed but Not Fixed

Weedon Lake is Back

The response to the report below was to simply come yet again with 'jetter' Highways have spent a fortune over the last five years (all tax payers money) to not satisfactorily fix the issue. A camera survey undertaken 5 months ago suggested the drain was blocked either by roots or collapse.

Could you please give a satisfactory response to this issue or simply say we are not intending to fix it and not waste any more time or money of simply rinsing the drain out.

********* The flooding at the entrance to the playing field has happened again 3 times in the last week with the worst ever this morning. The flood is approximately 30meters long and right across half of the carriageway. Pedestrians are at severe risk of drenching. The problem has been looked at many times over the last five years and never actually fixed. Using a drain cleaner does not work! The last camera survey suggested that a serious solution is needed. Copy to Parish Council The report's reference number is 5298857
