Pedestrian Issue

Reported via desktop in the Pedestrian Barriers - Damaged / Missing category anonymously at 04:17, Tuesday 23 January 2024 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5478446.

Hello, in line with the Highway Code Please can you introduce a pedestrian crossings (zebra crossing) where the one way street is from the Pedestrian Safety Barriers to the other side. Where there are barriers, as your aware the footfall in higham is regularly increasing and this crossing which has a dropped curb and barrier (damaged metal crossing barrier that needs replacing, so please do this as well), is subject to a daily amount of drivers who aren’t abiding to the Highway Code when it comes to dropped curbs, if this crossing isn’t taken seriously someone will be hit by a car. Essentially replace the damaged barrier (may be worth something high visibility) and add a zebra crossing. Honestly, if this isnt fixed eventually someone will get hurt, the onus is on you to safeguard, please take this seriously. Kind Regards
