No street lights

Reported via Android in the Street lighting category anonymously at 18:31, Mon 22 January 2024

Sent to Norfolk County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5477441.

There are no street lights lit from just after the flats up til manor road and it is pitch black from 6pm onwards making it difficult going to the bin or the car after this time and having mobility problems makes it even more difficult. This is the second time ive reported it, the first time was done over the phone to GYBC who blamed it on NCC who then blamed it back onto GYBC. If i have a fall in injure myself because i cant see anything due to no street lighting i dont think I'll be best pleased....would you be?

Updates

  • Could you tell me what is happening concerning the street lights on Suffolk Road in Gorleston please ref: 5477441. It has been 2 weeks since i reported it and they are still out this also includes the ones in the alleyway out the back. Last night 04/02/24 when i put my bin out and fell over because i couldnt see where i was going as it is pitch black outside! As you can imagine im not best pleased.

  • There are still no street lights on at all when it is dark making it unsafe for people. It does however make it great for criminals! At the wnd of the day the council obviously dont really care about any of it as i doubt they live on this road!
