Anchor points needed to secure gates

Reported via Android anonymously at 16:10, Sun 21 January 2024

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5471168.

Please can we have anchor points for securing the gates to, as they swing shut otherwise. I had requested this on the time of installation, but was told it wasn't part of the job; even though they were secured in the previous position.

These gates swung inwards towards my car today; not the first time I have had to stop urgently to prevent damage. If any damage does occur to my vehicle I will have no option but to press for libel action now that you are aware.

Please treat this matter as urgent

  • These still swing shut due to no anchor points. Is it seriously too much for the council to install two hollow tubes in to the ground, and a 2nd pole, as one is missing?

  • 2 months later and the council haven't looked in to this. Why am I not surprised, seeing that this is Withywood - the land the council forgot
