We can't exit our property safely.

Reported via desktop anonymously at 16:10, Thursday 18 January 2024 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and South Oxfordshire District Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5461217.

Directly in front of our only exit from our property sits a tree, grass verge and lamp post. To access the Fairmile we have to pull out at an angle, driving across our neighbours entry & exit point Bowling Court with 31 residences, resident staff and carers all coming in and out throughout the day and night. We block cars from the Fairmile turning into Bowling Court while we wait to safely join the Fairmile and we block cars waiting to exit Bowling Court. Pulling out at an angle from our driveway then creates the problem that both the tree and lamp post block our view up the Fairmile making pulling out to turn right very dangerous. When we want to turn left we have to wait for both lanes to be clear of traffic as we have to swing out across both lanes. We'd like to ask to be able to drive straight out of our driveway with the tree and lamp post removed and the curb dropped. Safety is the priority for everyone.
