Dangerous road priorities for cyclists

Reported via desktop anonymously at 17:59, Wed 17 January 2024

Sent to Brighton and Hove City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5457141.

At the traffic light junction indicated, road markings and priorities are not clear for northbound cyclists (coming onto the short cycle lane from the traffic lights, heading towards the station) and southbound traffic that are turning right (west). I regularly cycle through the green light in the right hand lane intending to turn onto the cycle lane to be confronted by cars coming south and across my path who are on a green light. If cycles are to give way, there needs to be a safe space marked on the road to wait, or if traffic turning west from a south heading are to give way, there needs to be clear give way signage and road markings
