Blocked drains have caused traffic accident

Reported via desktop anonymously at 16:54, Tue 16 January 2024

Sent to Norfolk County Council and South Norfolk District Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5452134.

I have reported this problem on numerous occasions and nothing is ever done. Blocked surface water drains cause the road to flood and during very cold weather this water then freezes creating very hazardous driving conditions. On the 20th Jan 23 I sent photos to you showing the problem. Today at approximately 2.30pm there was a serious traffic accident on this road with police and ambulances in attendance and a lady driver in one of the vehicles was taken to hospital. I spoke to the police and they stated that speed was not the cause of the accident but the treacherous road condition. Perhaps now you will carry out this urgent work and unblock the drains
