Large pothole/gully at edge of carriageway

Reported via desktop in the Pothole category anonymously at 10:25, Tue 16 January 2024

Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5449735.

As one heads from Mottisfont along Benger's lane towards the B3084 there is a very large pothole at the edge of the carriageway (left hand side). This is very deep, large and the edges sharp. I imagine if someone has to pull into the left of the road and slips into this pothole/gully, the sharp edge of the tarmac is likely to tear or damage the inner wall of their tyres.

  • There's been some patching work along here - there are a few that were missed (frustratingly so - you were they, you had a truck with tarmac in it, just patch the whole lot guys!). The major defect reported at the time is now fixed.
