Street cleaning, litter

Sent to Glasgow City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5426365.

Spectacular amount of litter on Maryhill Road between Napiershall St and St George’s Cross in Glasgow Also on North Woodside Rd (flower beds adjacent to Lidl) No litter picking has been carried out for some time. This area needs to be cleared weekly if not more

  • Connect Woodside has been positive for the area which is now more pleasant for pedestrians and safer for cyclists . It has also reduced the number of cars coming into the area which is a step in the right direction. However a few mistakes need to be rectified to maintain good standards and value for money from the provider . Security cycle stations around Trossachs Street and Maryhill Road are the wrong size which means cycles cannot be secured to the horizontal bar ( they are at least 24 inches higher than they should be) and as a result will fall over as can be seen in picture below . Also signage was not adhered to the pavement properly and parts are missing after been applied just a few weeks ago
