Overhanging/overgrown bushes obscuring de-restricted/national speed limit road sign

Reported in the Road traffic signs category by Peter Jackson at 18:18, Thu 6 November 2014

Sent to Bolton Borough Council 2 minutes later

The national speed limit sign on the left (as you head towards Bolton) at this map marker is COMPLETELY obscured by extremely overgrown hedges. It should be moved to the next lamppost OR the homeowner should be made to cut the hedges (which also impinge on being able to walk along the pavement - I believe it's been left to overgrow deliberately (but that's just my opinion). Either way it's a completely obscured road sign.

Updates

  • I've clicked "don't know" cos the bush has definitely been cut back to reveal the hidden sign (which is good), but there is white paper? stuck over the national speed limit sign.
I believe this was done temporarily when there were road works in this area several years ago, but was never removed.
