Overhanging branches weighed down by ivy

Reported via mobile in the Low tree branches category anonymously at 19:07, Monday 8 January 2024 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5415877.

Several of the trees are overgrown with ivy which is now overhanging the pavement causing pedestrians to duck as they use the pavement. The weight of the ivy is a concern as branches may break off. You’ve previously advised that the strip of land these trees and other overgrown shrubs and brambles are on, is not owned by BCC but is responsibility of owners of houses on Lampeter Road. The land is to the rear of their fences/boundary line. Are they aware they’re responsible? Who notifies owners in this instance. I do not live in the road or know the residents. Please can these trees be attended to or residents contacted to advise of maintenance issues regarding these trees. It’s becoming less safe.
