No road markings

Reported via iOS in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 17:36, Monday 8 January 2024

Sent to Glasgow City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5415547.

Following resurfacing several weeks ago there is no stop line at the lights or lane markings to show that the right lane is for right turn only. This is highly dangerous and needs to be fixed without delay.

  • I raised this issue with our local councillors. This is the reply from the Head of Roads Asset Management…

'As you may be aware the resurfacing of this road suffered a materials failure and, consequently, repainting of the road markings on Hyndland Road has been postponed due to an unsatisfactory surface. A site meeting between my officers and the contractors has been arranged for Tuesday 13 August 2024 where we will discuss what action is required to rectify the surface failure. In the meantime, a temporary stop line has been painted in the interest of public safety.'
