6 foot pothole / road collapsed

Reported via mobile in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 10:44, Monday 8 January 2024

Sent to Norfolk County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5412392.

Morning, I believe this was reported last year, when some ‘pre made’ tarmac substitute out of boxes was put into a smaller version of what now exists. This lasted around 2-3 months before the problem came back. That new stuff has now collapsed and the edge of the road is crumbling making the hole bigger, deeper and further into the road. This is kicking stones / rubble over the road and the gardens nearby, causing loud banging when Lorrie’s / vans hit it as this is not a wide road and pushes vehicles into the hole when they pass. Tuns Road is a through road for buses and Lorrie’s and the repair does need to be substantial to take the amount of weight and traffic passing through. I would be surprised if this hasn’t caused punctures. This is outside 14a & 14b Tuns Road, Necton, Norfolk. Thank you.
