Continual floods

Reported via mobile in the Other Road Issues category anonymously at 22:03, Sunday 7 January 2024

Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5410855.

Every time there is an amount of rain, the lowest part of the corner is covered by water in the lane closest to the roundabout. The recent heavy rains made this almost impassable as nothing is ever done to fix the underlying issue. I hate to think what the result would be on this poorly lit area if the water froze in the dark and a car navigated that part of the road at any speed

  • I expect that there has been no change as there have been no roadworks in all this time. But as rain has been much lighter in recent months it is only likely to happen again once we have more rain again

  • I don’t believe this has been fixed as no work has been evident despite no substantial rain for a while

  • Definitely not fixed for this and other ones I have reported. Yesterday’s storms meant the water meant traffic had to over completely to the other side of the road. Thankfully there was enough light to see it when I travelled on the the road late last night. In the darkness it might have meant flooding the car
