  • We own the car that is parked over the drain. Let us know when you are coming and we will be available to move it. You probably won't be able to clear it otherwise. If we just move it then someone else will just block it.

  • Thank you for your enquiry, the contractors have been instructed to return and clean the gully. This will be done as soon as it can be arranged

  • Mon 01/04/2024 15:18 • Customer/reference number if you have one:: 5386425 • Please give brief details of your complaint or compliment below:: Totally blocked street drain. reported to you in October and told it was due for clearing in December. Not cleared. Reported again in January and updated on 23rd January with contact details and confirming we own the car parked over the drain. 6 February we were informed it had been passed to contractor. Shortly after, someone came and looked, we again informed him that the car parked there was ours and we could move it at a mutually convenient time. If we move it beforehand, someone will park there. We were hopeful it would get resolved. Still waiting. It is so blocked that rainwater is pooling and can't drain off. I'm not sure why this is so difficult, you have seen the problem and know we can move the car. You have sent someone to look but we have had no updates. I'm worried that more heavy rain will flood over the pavement and down my drive. If I could get the grill up I would clear it myself to save all this hassle, but it needs something hefty to move it. • What action (if any) would you like us to take?: Clear the drain • Have you already spoken to somebody in the Council about this matter?: yes • If yes, and you know who you spoke to please provide details and dates:: It was a chap who came to look at the problem in February. he didn't leave a name.

  • We are so sorry that this hasn't been resolved - the contractors were requested to return and clear the gully but they obviously haven't - they have now been told to return to complete the job and knock on your door to get the car moved if there are access issues.

  • The contractors should be with you today - please keep an eye out for them. They have been asked to knock on your door if there's a car over the gully.

  • Apologies , this report should have been closed earlier as the contractors cleared the gully on April 24th - thanks for your patience with this matter.
