Clump of potholes at Millerston lights on Cumbernauld Road

Reported via desktop in the Potholes category anonymously at 20:46, Tue 2 January 2024

Sent to Glasgow City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5382786.

Also a major pothole in the filter lane across from Dug n Duck pub on avenue end road

All I’ve heard about on the FB page is people bursting tyres

There were roadworks very recently, you’d think they would also fix these potholes!,

  • It looks like the potholes at the junction at Station Road West Bound are progressing beyond the binder layer. This has happened as a result of a service trench failing across the carriageway. These potholes have been present here for more than a year and possibly close to 2 years. This section of road, whilst being hard wearing Asphalt & Chips, is probably around 30 years old, so it is of no surprise, that from the lights here to Comrie Road, the entire road is beyond the final stage of it's life.

  • The length of time this road has been in this state is unacceptable . Are you going to wait till there is a serious accident. Locals know and try to avoid them but strangers to the area are caught out by them. I myself got caught when there was a big puddle covering the hole and the bump scared me and my passengers.
